Annelore Schneider (1979) and Claude Piguet (1977) have been working together since 2002 as members of collectif_fact, along with—until 2009—their fellow traveller Swann Thommen (1979). Together the three explored the possibilities of constructing new images as well as new worlds, whether tangible or virtual.
Through three-dimensional modelling, partial excision of existing images, citations of textual fragments or editing together of film excerpts, collectif_fact elaborates different visions of the world, with hybridisation being the watchword in the collective’s approach. In this regard, the city has become the artists’ playground of choice in their manipulation of reality.
