Made up of erratic blocks deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago, this set of sculptures is marked by core-sampling holes that perforated the rock regularly and systematically.
Faced with these mechanically drawn holes, we see two contradictory temporalities confront one another: the multimillennial geology of those rocks presented in their natural state (rediscovered today as the glaciers recede), and the recent industrial exploitation developed by humans. Artificially pierced, the rock becomes a physical expression of the overexploitation of the planet’s resources.
